Full Job Description

  • Adding label copy (LC) information to our repertoire registration databases for all UK/IE owned content in accordance with agreed compliance protocols and timelines. Generating ISRCs, product numbers and barcodes in GRPS LC as well as accurately registering products with PRS for Music, the Official Charts Company (OCC), Phonographic Performance Limited (PPL) and all other commercial partners.

  • Managing all upcoming releases by attending meetings with the rest of the Release Planning team, Sony labels and the wider Operations departments, updating and managing the IPA report, as well as distributing schedules as and when required. Liaising with Legal & Business Affairs, A&R Admin and the Sony labels to ensure the artist contract rights, genre and set up information is accurately reflected in our local and global databases and delivered to partners correctly.

  • Scheduling digital audio and video products along with all physical products (CD, Vinyl, Cassette, Box Sets etc) in our global scheduling system, GRPS (Global Release Planning System). Following and updating products from creation to final release. This will also include raising JIRA's for video products and liaising with UK Media Production (UKMP) and occasionally the Global Media Production team (GMP)

  • Assisting the Senior Release Planning Coordinators and Release Planning Management Team to deliver artwork files and mastered audio files (DDPi, 16bit/24bit, MFIT, 360 and Dolby Atmos), including liaising with and providing assistance to the labels in order to deliver correct and high-quality artwork files. Ingesting audio and digital artwork (Packshots / Digital Booklets) into Sony's asset management system 'AOMA'.

  • Keeping up-to date with work coming through the RPC by managing workload and reassigning tasks as and when required.

  • Raising POs (purchase orders) in BPack for repro, manufacturing and ad hoc costs. Working with label finance and marketing to proactively resolve any queries so that our suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

  • Investigating and resolving track and product queries when required. Problem solving and liaising with the wider business to acknowledge and overcome logistical and creative obstacles. Being forward thinking and able to confidently provide suggestions to senior management, Sony labels and occasionally artist management.

    You are reliable and hardworking, with exceptionally strong attention to detail and outstanding interpretative skills.

  • You have experience of working with metadata and have some knowledge of current music formats and releasing patterns.

  • You can learn quickly and work well with the team, key stakeholders and senior management.

  • You can operate effectively under pressure and to tight deadlines.

  • Have an ability to tailor communication styles effectively to all levels of seniority within and outside of the company.

  • Must have a passion for the industry and a strong interest in music.
