Reliability Engineer

The goal is to ensure a convincing reliability case is constructed, while balancing time and cost constraints. This role requires pragmatism and a solid appreciation that reliability results from good engineering, not just compliance with numerical targets and ensuring the customer's satisfaction by using a range of techniques and approaches to provide the most cost-effective evidence. • Good knowledge of complex electronic systems and the associated reliability issues (but other engineering subject areas may be considered for candidates with the right strengths in other areas).
• Ability to deliver Reliability Case Reports and the supporting information (FMECA, reliability prediction, etc). Experience of more recent reliability prediction methodologies, such as FIDES, would be an advantage.
• Fully appreciates that reliability is not just a number, and has experience of reliability planning, analysis and testing during development.
• Demonstrable knowledge of the relationship between the reliability life-cycle and the system engineering processes.
• Track record as an effective teammate with strong interpersonal and influencing skills and the ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary / multi-national team.
• Analytical and problem solving skills.
• Good verbal, written communications analytical and problem solving skills.
• Ideally degree qualified or equivalent
