Relief Bank Recovery Worker - Marron House

As a Recovery Worker, you will contribute to successfully rehabilitating and reintegrating our Residents and Participants back into the community. Providing pathways, support, and appropriate interventions that will enable successful resettlements, and deliver to achieve more safer, integrated communities for our stakeholders. Rota: Flexible - shift work Monday to Sunday We will be screening all applications between the 7th and 11th of October and holding a group interview on Wednesday 16th of October. ABOUT THE SERVICE Our residential services in Marron House provide a recovery focused service to men and women with long term mental health difficulties. The service works with the Participants & Residents to increase their independence and move them on into lower support accommodation. We work closely with mental health services, other partner agencies and careers to improve living skills, increase social inclusion, and help individuals understand and manage their mental health in order to improve their quality of life. The services are spread across 1 sites with 18 bedspace. We provide personalized support around daily living skills such as budgeting, shopping, cooking, reminders to take medication and developing a structured weekly routine.,

• Support a caseload of Residents and Participants (R&P), contribute to the development of support plans, risk assessments and reviews.
• Participate in, and encourage R&Ps to participate in the running and development of projects, initiatives, training and volunteering.
• Ensure R&Ps understand their rights and responsibilities, with access to the right tools and resources to support them back into society and build networks.
• Develop strong internal and external relationships.
• Provide advice, guidance, and support, including life skills training.
• Recognise signs of deteriorating mental health and initiate appropriate interventions to prevent a crisis.
• You may need to attend appointments alongside R&Ps when required.
• Admin duties will vary, including using our Salesforce Inform system to update records ongoing.
Other responsibilities than those described above may be required to be undertaken from time to time and will be expected to be performed to as long as it is within the capability and level of the position.

• IT Proficiency, ability to learn new software programs, basic Microsoft experience is required
• Experience of working with people of complex backgrounds, including in the criminal justice field, mental health, and/or substance misuse or a good understanding of the sector
• Understanding of the housing and social needs of people with multiple and complex needs
• Able to influence and negotiate positive outcome
