Full Job Description

Manage day-to-day operations of the unit

  • Planning, preparing and cooking meals including hot food, sandwiches, light snacks and baking. You will
  • utilise fresh, seasonal ingredients.
  • Understanding of managing allergens.
  • Managing stock, purchasing of food and kitchen equipment
  • Experience of managing food profit margins and a budget. Determining portion sizes and appropriate selling
  • prices.
  • Recording of daily, weekly and monthly income and costs.
  • Maintain a hygienic kitchen, ensuring we meet hygiene standards and regulatory requirements and that
  • appropriate records are completed.
  • Store food in compliance with safety practices.
  • Train and supervise a kitchen assistant / waiting staff.
  • Deliver excellent customer service

    We are looking for a talented Relief Chef Manager to work full time (generally Monday - Friday but ocasional weekend cover) to support and develop our teams at sites along the M4/M3 corridors. You will act as a Relief/Floating Chef across a number of our clients, providing relief as and when needed for holiday, training or sickness cover. Area's covered include Slough, Reading, Dorset and Oxfordshire. You must be creative and able to maintain high standards of consistency and reliability, and be experienced enough to deal with different kitchens and teams - being a team player is essential.
