Full Job Description

As a Robot Operator, you'll be operating our state-of-the-art robotic machinery, ensuring smooth production processes and maintaining the highest standards of food safety and quality. You'll play a vital role in keeping our production lines moving efficiently while troubleshooting issues, supporting your team, and working closely with engineers to ensure everything runs like clockwork.,

  • Pre-Start Checks: Perform daily pre-start checks according to site controls and code of practice. If any issues arise, you'll report them immediately to the Group Leader to ensure safety and quality.

  • Technical Expertise: Gain an in-depth understanding of various pieces of robotic equipment, ensuring they're always running at peak performance.

  • Product Quality: Monitor products to ensure they meet customer specifications, taking corrective action when necessary. If you can't resolve an issue, escalate it to the Group Leader promptly.

  • Cleanliness & Safety: Ensure the team adheres to Clean As You Go (CAYG) and General Manufacturing Practices (GMP) to maintain a clean, safe, and efficient production environment.

  • Communication: Effectively communicate with all levels of the management team and liaise with engineers when machinery is not functioning optimally. You'll also keep records of any downtime and work to minimize it.


  • Health, Safety & Environment Responsibilities:
  • Safety First: Follow all health and safety rules and procedures, using the protective clothing and equipment provided.

  • Incident Reporting: Report any accidents, injuries, or safety hazards to management immediately, ensuring swift corrective action is taken.

  • Proactive Safety Mindset: Work in a safe manner, and always be on the lookout for ways to improve safety for yourself and your team.


  • Food Safety & Quality Responsibilities:
  • Regulatory Compliance: Ensure strict adherence to all food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) across the production process.

  • Personal Hygiene: Maintain a high standard of personal hygiene in line with hygiene regulations and food safety standards.

  • Clean as You Go: Practice CAYG principles to ensure cleanliness is maintained throughout production, helping to meet the company's high food safety and quality expectations.

  • A confident communicator and a strong team player who can collaborate well with others.

  • Excellent problem-solving abilities, able to think on your feet and troubleshoot technical issues quickly.


  • Experience:

  • Manufacturing experience is desirable, but full training will be provided to the right candidate who is keen to learn and grow.

  • Language Proficiency:

  • Fluent in both spoken and written English to ensure effective communication on the shop floor.
