Relief Female Security Officer - Faith Community School, Nottingham Pay Rate: £12.25 per hour Are you a female who values respect, safety, and service? About the Role As a Faith Community Security Officer, you will play a crucial role in the safety and security of religious buildings. This position goes beyond security; it involves building trust, providing support, and helping maintain a welcoming environment for individuals of all backgrounds. You will be a key figure within the community, promoting peace and safety for all. Your role will require sensitivity, adaptability, and empathy-particularly in interacting with children, vulnerable adults, and community members with limited English skills. - Female Officers Only: Due to the nature of the role and specific community needs.
- Experience: A minimum of two years of security experience is required.
- Licensing: A valid SIA License is necessary.
- Background Check: Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS (EDBS) vetting process.
- Cultural Sensitivity: Ability to understand and respect the religious and cultural practices of different faiths, ensuring all community members feel valued and safe.
- Communication Skills: Strong ability to connect and communicate effectively with individuals from various backgrounds, particularly those who are vulnerable or have limited language skills.
- Reliability: Dependability is crucial, as your consistent presence will help maintain a sense of security and trust within the community. Key Responsibilities
- Be the Welcoming Face of Security: Represent security with a friendly, professional demeanor while ensuring a safe, supportive atmosphere for all.
- Incident Response: Address any safety incidents or security concerns with care and efficiency, taking swift, appropriate action when required.
- Routine Patrols and Access Control: Conduct building patrols, oversee access control, handle lost property, and respond to health and safety incidents.
