Relief Staff

Our Day Centres are social facilities providing day care service for older people within various areas of Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, which can often offer vital respite for carers. The service aims to provide a stimulating environment and a varied programme of activities for older people. The Relief Assistant Organiser provides cover when regular centre staff are away from work for planned leave, or short notice leave. They work with the Organiser and Volunteers to engage with service users to deliver a variety of activities, including social interaction, cognitive stimulation, physical activity and entertainment. Refreshments are provided and a hot meal is included for our service users at some centres. • Relief Community Wardens: The Community Warden Service provides support to help older people to remain living in their own homes by providing them with practical daily support and assistance (no personal care involved). Tasks would include collecting prescriptions, small items of shopping, helping with letters and phone calls and ensuring safety and well-being. Our pool of Relief Wardens provide cover when regular Wardens are away from work for planned leave, or short notice leave. We provide Warden Services across Cambridgeshire & Peterborough, so please get in touch for further details on any services local to you.
