In our Complex Needs supported accommodation in Penryn our Relief Support Workers work as part of a larger Support team to provide support services to people, who have/are experiencing substance & alcohol misuse, mental ill heath, fleeing domestic abuse and any other challenging issues. This will include lone working on a regular basis and working days and weekends.

As a Support Worker, you will be working closely with other agencies around specific needs including mental health, substance misuse, benefits, private letting agents and landlords and/or others and exploring options around education, training and employment. You will need to write , review and update support plans and risk assessments and take a positive approach towards risk management.

We are looking for someone who is motivated to make a positive contribution to the lives of the people we support and a "can do" approach to their work. Experience in a similar role would be desirable, however what is most important is having a passion for helping people in the local community. This role will be challenging at times as you will be working with and supporting clients across a range of difficult and challenging issues/behaviours; an attention to detail, using your initiative and problem solving will be key.

Have an understanding of support needs and support planning.

- Have accurate record keeping and computer skills.
