Full Job Description

We are looking for confident Relief Support Workers across Middlesbrough to provide person centred support to service users who have a learning disability, complex needs and challenging behaviour so that they can experience a range of opportunities for personal development and maximise quality of life.

Your Relief Support Worker role will include:

Providing support on an emotional and practical level with personal care needs, household tasks and medication
Collaborate with service users, their families and involved professionals to provide a consistent and coordinated approach
Support people to enjoy a wide range of activities within the home and the wider Linthorpe community

You will have skills in positive communication and engagement and will be able to demonstrate unconditional positive regard for the people we support across Linthorpe. You will have the confidence to be able to work within a positive behaviour support framework, to accept responsibility and to develop as a skilled practitioner. You must be able to follow agreed guidelines and to work positively within a consistent, mutually supportive team ethos.
