Full Job Description
Broadmeadow is a care centre that provides short term placements, assisting people to regain their independence and meet their aims and objectives. We offer short term support to those living with dementia and other cognitive issues in our dedicated 8 bed unit. We also work closely with Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists and Social Services Registered Practitioners to support those requiring rehabilitation or further care assessments to return to the community. We are looking for an individual to join our team and help us to improve the outcomes for our service users., This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements. The appropriate standards are set out in the Job Description/Person Specification.
- Experience in health & social care sector
- Flexible and organised in your approach
- Excellent communication skills
- Able to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Confident in leading a team and providing supervision & support to staff
- Knowledge of health & safety and writing risk assessments
- Experience in managing and administering medication
- Knowledge of CQC and how the inspection process influences our practice

The annual starting salary for this post is £25,515 based on full time hours of 37 hours per week, with performance related progression up to £28,850. This post is for relief shifts so the salary will be adjusted on a pro rata basis. There are currently additional enhancements on top of the basic salary for weekend and Bank Holidays.
