Full Job Description

The Renal Unit at Addenbrookes CUH consists of Ward C5 and Acute Dialysis, Cambridge Dialysis Centre which is home to outpatient clinics, 36 station dialysis unit, Home therapies team, Low clearance, vascular access and anaemia specialist nurse teams. We have 3 other off site satellite dialysis units at West Suffolk hospital, Hinchingbrooke Hospital and Kings Lynn Hospital. The Renal unit is looking for a motivated organised Band 5 UK registered nurse to support in running the Hepatitis B vaccination programme for all new and existing low clearance and dialysis patients . The working hours are 8:30-16:30 in conjunction with the needs of the role.Main duties of the job The role will involve the organising and running of vaccinations clinics at Cambridge dialysis Centre. The planning and booking of patients' course of vaccination treatment and ensuring treatment is effective. The role will offer support for the other satellite units in setting up their vaccination programmes. This role will also work with the medical staff to assist in the dialysis line insertion list in the vascular access department at Addenbrookes Hospital up to twice a week. The support nurse would have involvement in clinical work and audit supporting the renal clinical areas.
