Repairs Surveyor

The overall purpose of this role is to prevent and deal with complaints, disrepair claims and insurance works by in identifying the cause of, planning and managing work to more complicated repairs issues.,

• To inspect properties, solve problems, consult residents, create quotes, specifications and plans, procure/order works and materials, and project manage complex projects including coordination of staff and contractors, supervision on site and post-inspection.


• Responsible for identifying, planning, raising, and organising repairs; production and approval of estimates and work schedules, consultant input and project management.


• To be the focal point for inspections to survey and identify repair works and other similar projects, ensuring effective solutions.


• Undertake pre- and post-inspections and deliver ad-hoc surveys including Estate Inspections, TDI inspections, mutual exchanges etc.
  
  The ability to diagnose repairs and instruct works.


• Able to effectively scope and instruct repair works and to advise trade staff and contractors about technical repairs solutions.


• Delivery focussed, positive, assertive and pro-active approach to resolving technical and people issues and identifying improvements or resolutions.


• A full, clean driving licence with access to their own car.


• Previous demonstrable experience in a Surveyor role or similar role.
