Nuneaton and Bedworth Borough Council is a small Council with big values. We are currently recruiting for a Repairs Team leader to manage a team of operatives to ensure the quality of repairs to customer homes are carried out to a high standard. Ensuring that the standards of work and the materials supplied are in accordance with the specification for the works to be carried out by the council. We are looking for an enthusiastic, proactive Team Leader to provide an effective link between Operatives, Customers and the wider community. You will be required to lead a team of operatives to deliver excellent customer focused services to all customers, through exemplary leadership, effective management and implementing service improvements to ensure continuous improvement. You will be required to ensure that craftworkers are keeping to appointments that have been arranged, ensuring repairs are completed within the Council's timescales and schedulers rates. liaising with the Inspections Team Leader to ensure effective use of resources. You will also ensure the inspections carried out of completed works to ensure that workmanship meets the required expected standard.

  • Recent and relevant experience of working in a customer focused, housing repairs and maintenance environment handling small to medium projects.
  • Experience of inspecting/surveying works to identify repairs and conformity with required standards during and after completion.
