Full Job Description

This Outstanding Secondary school in the heart of Southwark is looking for a reprographics officer for a short-term contract of approx. 8 weeks with an immediate start.

Main Purpose of Job:

  • Managing incoming requests from staff throughout the school for printing and photocopying.

  • Training users in the use of photocopying and scanning documents and any other specialist equipment such as laminators and trimming equipment.

  • Using your creative skill set to produce physical leaflets and posters, digital content for the website and internal information screens.

  • Managing printers and photocopiers ensuring that they have the correct toner/paper required.

  • Liaising with photocopier contractors as and when necessary to ensure all reprographic equipment is fully operational.


  • General Reprographics:
  • Providing a printing, cutting of card, finishing and photocopying service for all departments.

  • Prioritising workload to ensure an efficient reprographic service is provided.

  • Organising servicing and maintenance of all reprographic equipment is up to date and keeping appropriate records.


  • Preparing orders for printing and photocopying supplies and maintaining stock control.


  • Maintaining copyright records and advice on copyright issues in relation to copyright laws.


  • Monitoring equipment use including print credit system, reading and reporting spend and maintain equipment records.


  • Liaising with the IT staff regarding machines around the school when necessary.


  • Other Responsibilities:
  • Engaging the services of and liaising with professional photographers for school events such as the Commemoration Service, Awards Evening etc., Personally taking photographs of a range of school activities as required, or arranging for this to happen using other staff or sixth form students.


  • Building excellent professional relationships with staff, students and other professionals in the school.


  • Maintaining effective administration in the absence of other administrative staff providing support to produce whole-school mail-outs, placing material in registers etc. as directed by the School Business Manager.
