Exciting opportunities await within the Rotorcraft IVHM team for driven Systems and Aircraft Engineers with proven experience in new software product implementation in highly-regulated engineering industries, with responsibility for specifying, designing, integrating and commissioning IVHM vibration-monitoring software on existing and new rotorcraft platforms, for monitoring of health and usage (HUMS) of engine, gearbox and drivetrain components., Working as part of a multi-discipline team, you will be responsible for applying systems engineering process and practice to coordinate specification, design, development integration and verification of assigned embedded software units to the satisfaction of all interfacing partners, via:
- Collaboration with interfacing partners and implementing software engineers to understand and develop high level software requirements
- Working with product groups to define and maintain system architecture, interfaces and design
- Enhancing and maintaining an existing suite of automated system tests scripted using Python and SQLite, as part of system Continuous Integration and Test (CIT).
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college or equivalent knowledge and experience in systems or aerospace engineering - Professional Experience: At least 4 years of experience in application of industry-recognised system engineering processes, ideally related to embedded software development, with working experience in DOORS, Python and SQLite or equivalent tooling. Strong oral and written communication skills, with confidence and ability to work as part of a globally-distributed customers and teams Demonstrated ability to analyse and resolve challenging technical problems., Knowledge and experience in Avionics Integration and associated certification requirements
- Knowledge and experience of requirements management and verification to recognised systems engineering process such as ART4754
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills, coupled with excellent oral and written communication abilities, are essential for this role. The ability to work with global virtual teams is particularly valued. Flexible Working
