Full Job Description

Are you an IRATA rope access professional based in the Midlands looking for an exciting casual opportunity alongside your other employment, where you could potentially be called out to rescue work at some of the UK's most popular attractions? Arco Professional Safety Services are looking for Rescue Technicians to join our UK wide dedicated Rescue team on a causal basis. You would be joining our rope access rescue team, supporting some of the top attractions across the UK, particularly in the Midlands. Our Rescue Technicians work on a bi-weekly on call rota - applicants therefore must be available to be on-call during bi-weekly and hold a valid, in date IRATA certificate. Please note, this is not a full time position. This is an on-call, bi-weekly casual position so can be worked around your other employment.,

  • Responding to contact during your on-call shift. This will be evidenced through random test calls each month.
  • Ensuring that your relevant IRATA certification remains in date/ valid at all times whilst working on contract with Arco Professional Safety Services
  • Attending 4 training sessions per year which will be agreed in advance with flexibility to suit
  • As a Casual Rescue Technician, you will need to be:
  • Available to respond to a call out request by Arco Professional Safety Services and to be at the nominated location within 2 hours of that call
  • Able to work on a 2 weeks on 2 weeks off rota system, during this period you will be required for 24 hour response, this requires you to adhere to a zero tolerance drugs and alcohol policy
  • Giving any holiday commitments and any time out of the country with a minimum of 2 weeks' notice
