The NTU Project Team have a working knowledge of injury and illness reporting in elite football through their ongoing work (2018-present) with the FA.

The NTU team currently collect injury and illness surveillance data and provide detailed reports for the England International Teams, 20+ clubs in the English Football League, and the Women's Super League and Championship.

This work has developed an awareness of the importance of monitoring injury and illness incidence and burden rates in elite football.

The NTU team have in-depth knowledge of the research in this area having recently published data in the journal Sports Medicine (Sprouse et al.

2020 The Football Association Injury and Illness Surveillance Study : The Incidence, Burden and Severity of Injuries and Illness in Men's and Women's International Football).

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate organisational skills to ensure optimal data collection processes are adhered to, have an interest in the broad area of study (injury in elite sport) and an ability to work well independently as well as under supervision.
