Full Job Description

We are seeking a Research Assistant (Grade 4) to support the QR-funded project, Database Optimization for Real-Time Analytics in Big Data Environments. This project aims to develop strategies for optimizing databases to handle the demands of real-time analytics, with applications in various industries. The Research Assistant will work closely with the lead researcher, assisting with data collection, algorithm development, and analysis.,

  • Assisting in the development and testing of optimization algorithms.
  • Supporting the analysis of large-scale datasets.
  • Collaborating with team members to ensure research objectives are met.

    We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications and skills:
  • A Bachelor's degree or Master's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or a related field.
  • Knowledge of database systems, big data environments, and real-time analytics.
  • Experience with programming languages such as Python, SQL, or Java.
  • Ability to analyse complex datasets and develop optimization algorithms.
