Research Assistant: Biochemical assay developer (Part Time, Fixed Term)

Applications are invited for a Research Associate to join the group of Dr Evgeniia Lobanova at the Department of Chemistry on a research project aimed at developing a next-generation single-molecule seeding assay for detecting Parkinson's disease in blood. The project involves working with in-house imaging techniques and clinical blood samples.

The successful applicant will have the opportunity to develop and validate a new bio-assay in blood which may have a value for early Parkinson's diagnosis and monitoring.

Applicants should have experience in technical laboratory skills and be keen to learn and develop new skills. Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills are required to ensure success in liaising within a research team.
