Full Job Description

The Bennett Institute is a major, multi-disciplinary research centre committed to producing world-leading research on policy questions in the age of disruption. It is based at the University of Cambridge, within the Department for Politics & International Studies, and is led by its inaugural Director Professor Michael Kenny, and Professor Diane Coyle, the Bennett Professor of Public Policy.

The Research Assistant will undertake a range of research tasks in support of the Institute's productivity programme of research, as part of the Productivity Institute, most likely in one or more of the following areas: public services, new technologies, or sectoral performance. The successful candidate will collaborate with colleagues across the University of Cambridge and with others in The Productivity Institute network.

The successful candidate should have a good first degree in one of the Social Sciences or another cognate discipline, a good understanding of the policy-making process, and experience of quantitative and/or computational research methods. They should be flexible and adaptable, and may be called upon to support the events programme of the Institute.

The University has a responsibility to ensure that all employees are eligible to live and work in the UK.
