Full Job Description

The postholder will actively contribute to our research and be responsible for ensuring that the Boroviak laboratory runs smoothly and safely. The candidate will have a strong background in mammalian endometrial and stromal organoid culture and general tissue culture and will be able to perform RT-qPCR, confocal microscopy, and general data analysis. The successful candidate will be expected to efficiently work across our two lab sites in PDN and at the Stem Cell Institute. While this is primarily a research position, the post also entails maintaining the infrastructure of the laboratory areas, ordering of equipment and reagents, training students and visiting researchers in techniques and equipment use, as well as instructing correct safety procedures.

The Boroviak Lab https://boroviaklab.pdn.cam.ac.uk/ are looking for a Research Assistant to work on the establishment and characterisation of human and marmoset endometrial and stromal cultures to support our work on embryo implantation. The project aims to establish a synthetic implantation platform, consisting of extracellular matrix, stromal and endometrial cells and the ultimate goal of the project would be to investigate post implantation development of human and non-human primate embryo models using this platform.
