Research Assistant (Internal Only)

The Research Assistant role will include training in systematic review methodology and qualitative data coding.

Candidates are expected to have a relevant bachelors' degree and be enrolled in a relevant HEI course. They will have experience reading and critically reviewing published academic research and will have knowledge of qualitative research methods.

Experience of qualitative data coding using NVIVO would be an advantage.

The project Systematic Review, Data Synthesis And Meta-Analysis Of Research Documenting Sexual Violence Along Migration Routes is funded by the British Academy / Leverhulme Small Grants Fund.

The project, led by PI Alexandria Innes, will produce a Systematic Review and Meta Analysis of qualitative research documenting sexual violence that happens during undocumented migration journeys. This is the first stage of a larger project assessing routes to prevent sexual violence against migrants who travel without state authorisation.

The project is housed within the Violence and Society Centre at the University of London, a multi-disciplinary research centre. Staff are in the School of Policy and Global Affairs, including Sociology and International Politics, the School of Health and Psychological Sciences and the City Law School. The Centre engages with data providers and data users to develop professional practice and policies, both nationally and internationally.
