Full Job Description

Laboratory based research and support of projects defining how tumours evade immune destruction and the basis for immunotherapy sensitivity, using unique clinical trials samples collected by our lab.
We study T cell regulation and differentiation in cancer and under therapy. We translate this knowledge to improve patient care.
Our ongoing projects investigate the immunology of gestational trophoblastic neoplasia (GTN), lung, renal cancer and melanoma. We collect samples from the world's largest GTN clinic and our portfolio includes the largest academic initiated study of lung cancer immunotherapy (the phase III REFINE-Lung study)
Our approach is interdisciplinary and combines multiomics (high dimensional flow cytometry, single cell RNA sequencing, TCR sequencing, spatial transcriptomics, multiplex immunofluorescence), bioinformatics, gene modification techniques and immune functional studies., You will carry out research requiring you to design and perform experiments, interpret and present data, assist in manuscript and grant preparation.
You will also coordinate and support lab activities including assisting in the day to day operations of the lab, assist sample management and train other members.

Candidates who have not yet been officially awarded their PhD will be appointed as a Research Assistant within the salary range £36,045 - £39,183 per annum
