Full Job Description

A Research Associate/Fellow is required to undertake research as part of BBSRC-funded grant titled: " Diving deeper: unravelling how plants regulate root growth angle ". The successful candidate will employ genetic, molecular, and physiological approaches in conjunction with omics techniques to elucidate the molecular mechanisms that govern root growth angle in cereal crops. This exciting project is a collaborative effort involving biologists, biochemists, and biophysicists, and it directly builds upon our previous work that identified a novel gene, Enhanced Gravitropism 1 (EGT1) , which controls root angle in barley and wheat (Fusi et al., 2022 PNAS).

Candidates must have a PhD in Plant Biology/Molecular Biology/Biochemistry/Genetics or related biological science (or be near to completion).
