Full Job Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Associate to join us on the ATI (Aerospace Technology Institute) funded project "Multi-Application Bonding" (MABOND). The project partners Bath with several industrial and academic collaborators which are invested in composite manufacturing processes. MABOND is a research and innovation initiative to develop and accelerate structural bonding technologies to replace fasteners.
Our ideal candidate will have:
- a first degree in an Engineering or Engineering-related subject
- a PhD (or equivalent) with appropriate content
- proven experience of FEA modelling, design and manufacture Experience in some of the following areas will be a distinct advantage: mechanical testing, joining technologies, composites manufacturing, process development, or process optimisation. Candidates should be self-motivated and possess project management and technical communication skills.
