Full Job Description
We are looking for an isotope geochemist with experience in CO2 reconstruction to join the international Horizon Europe Past2Future Project Team, working with Caroline Lear and Stephen Barker in the School of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Cardiff University. The overall goal of the Past2Future Project is to use records of past climate change to improve future climate projections.
In this role, you will:
Analyse foraminifera for their boron isotopic composition
Use geochemical records to reconstruct past changes in pCO2 and ocean chemistry
Participate in Past2Future public engagement activities
Have experience of boron isotope analysis by MC-ICP-MS
Understand the systematics of the boron isotope CO2 proxy
Are enthusiastic about participating in public engagement of science
