Full Job Description
Applications are invited for a Research Associate in Perovskite Optoelectronic Devices to carry out research in perovskite solar cells. Research experience in chemical synthesis and device fabrication is essential. You will be expected to work well as part of a team and contribute to the supervision of research and undergraduate students, and with the management of external collaborations.
- To fabricate and characterize perovskite optoelectronics devices
- To take initiatives in the planning of research
- To identify and develop suitable techniques, and apparatus, for the collection and analysis of data
- To conduct data analysis
- To ensure the validity and reliability of data at all times
- To maintain accurate and complete records of all findings
- To present findings to colleagues and at conferences
- To attend relevant workshops and conferences as necessary
- To promote the reputation of the Group, the Department and the College
- To provide guidance to PhD Students
- To conduct and plan own scientific work with appropriate supervision.
- To maintain highly organised and accurate record of experimental work
- To publish in high quality journals and to present data at meetings
- To contribute to the smooth running of the Group's laboratories.
Hold, or near completion of, a PhD in Chemistry, Physics or a closely related discipline, or equivalent research, industrial or commercial experience - Practical experience in processing of solar cell devices
- Practical experience in synthetic chemistry
- Knowledge of solar cell materials and semiconductors
- Knowledge of techniques used to characterize the performance of solar cell devices
- A proven publication track record commensurate with career stage.
