Full Job Description

Working collaboratively with in vivo pharmacologists across the oncology portfolio, you'll apply your scientific and technical expertise to a number of project teams delivering efficacy and pharmacodynamic studies to aid drug discovery and development. As part of this team, the candidate will be part of a rota to cover the in vivo studies during the weekends. In addition to designing, planning and executing in vivo studies, you'll be responsible for analysing and communicating complex scientific data. Being able to prioritise your own workload whilst demonstrating excellent team-working skills will be key to this role.

  • Master of Science or equivalent experience in a relevant area of cancer biology
  • Strong dedication to ethical practices and a detailed understanding of animal welfare.
  • Ability to critically analyse and communicate in vivo scientific data
  • Ability to prioritise own workload and to work as part of a team
  • Ability to collaborate with colleagues in a multidisciplinary setting.
  • Desirable requirements
  • Expert in vivo skills that can be applied to oncology drug discovery
  • Home Office license holder modules 1-4 or A, B, C.
  • Experience with sample analysis: western blot, PCR.
  • Experience with cell culture.
  • Experience in carrying out independent, relevant scientific research, ideally evidenced by publication of scientific posters or peer-reviewed papers
