Full Job Description

As a Research Engineer in Airbus R&T you will be:

  • Developing new hydrogen mechanical and/or electrical systems installation design concepts from initial sketches to full 3D models using the latest Computer Aided Design (CAD) tools (Catia V6 ~ 3DX);

  • Defining and supporting the manufacture and testing of physical prototypes of system installation components such as pipes, couplings, seals and sensors;

  • Conducting external research to build our knowledge of hydrogen and identify interesting organisations, suppliers and technologies;

  • Working collaboratively across the transnational ZEROe team and with a range of external suppliers and partners.

    Studying towards a degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or Product Design, or equivalent;

  • Strong interest in design engineering from initial concept through to detail design;

  • Curiosity, creativity and open mindedness;

  • Ability to listen, understand and communicate information;

  • Desire to openly collaborate in a diverse team environment;
