Full Job Description

The Paediatric Psychological Medicine Team is predominantly a Health Psychology team working into various physical health specialties with Addenbrookes hospital.

The post holder will work as part of the Paediatric Psychological Medicine team, in close partnership with the PEDAL Research Centre at the University of Cambridge, to conduct a review of the evidence base for early mental health interventions (0-5s) to clarify which interventions are effective, for who, and the common elements of effective interventions., To utilise research skills to identify interventions that meet a pre-specified threshold of evidence in terms of effectiveness and methodological rigour. To source materials (including training materials, programme manuals, and articles related to interventions) and apply a common elements analysis framework to the materials. To conduct analysis of early mental health interventions with a focus on psychodynamic, psychoanalytic, and attachment-based interventions, and identify examples of good practice. To extract and interpret findings for colleagues and the other stakeholders, working autonomously within professional guidelines and the overall framework of the team's policies and procedures. To liaise with a broad range of stakeholders and organisations working across the early years sector. To engage stakeholders for patient and public involvement and co-production initiatives. To support the NHS England Perinatal Mental Health project team with stakeholder queries regarding the data
and interpretation. The post-holder will be able to produce outputs aimed at providing best practice guidance and support to staff in other agencies in the care and management of families receiving early intervention. The post holder will be supported in undertaking training and professional development to support their career progression. They will be supported by relevant senior researchers within the PEDAL centre.
