Full Job Description

  • Provide comprehensive and high-quality post-award accounting services for the European Commission (EC) research portfolio.
  • Liaise with academic staff, departmental administrators, external collaborators, and European Commission Directorates, offering expert financial and administrative advice.
  • Manage the post-award financial monitoring of EC-funded research projects across multiple departments, ensuring compliance with EC terms, organisational policies, and financial regulations.
  • Arrange and coordinate internal and external audits, ensuring a full audit trail is maintained, including the preparation of reports on work in progress.
  • Offer training, support, and guidance to Research Finance Administrators within the Post Award Team, focusing on complex EC-funded research contracts.
  • Ensure adherence to EC deadlines and contract requirements, while proactively interpreting and advising on financial and procedural matters.
