Full Job Description
A unique and exciting fixed term secondment opportunity has arisen for an exceptional individual to be appointed as a Research Finance and Costings Manager., The key duties as follows:
To be responsible for the financial management of the commercial related income that is received by the Health and Care Research Wales Support and Delivery Centre by developing and implementing robust financial processes and transparent reporting.
Support the Senior Funding, Finance and Contracts Manager by contributing to the wider NHS R&D finance and costings work programme which includes supporting the development, updating and implementation of national standardised NHS R&D finance and costings policies, facilitating cost recovery mechanisms for NHS research and supporting the implementation of income distribution models.
This role will suit a self-motivated individual with strong analytical, communication and problem-solving skills, the ability to think laterally and work with minimal day to day supervision.
The post holder will require:
Excellent communication skills with the ability to work with colleagues at all levels across a range of organisations
Have a positive and flexible approach to the needs of the service
Be motivated, ready for the next challenge and enjoy working as part ofa very busy team.
