Full Job Description

  • Be responsible for maintaining a small on-premises research network
  • Research and implement innovative solutions to problems, such as remote access to hardware
  • Design, build and operate infrastructure to support cyber research projects such as test-ranges, malware sandboxes and fuzzing
  • Design, build and operate infrastructure to support data science projects
  • Get involved in cyber research projects
    • Training will be provided to candidates in a variety of cyber research domains such as network traffic analysis, penetration testing and operational cyber.

    The Raytheon UK Cyber Research Group (CRG) are looking for an infrastructure engineer to join the team. Potential candidates should have experience working in IT infrastructure managing a network and be keen to learn new skills.,
  • Hands-on experience designing, building, and operating IT networks
  • Experience using Microsoft and Linux operating systems
  • Experience configuring firewalls, network switches and servers
  • Experience managing virtualisation platforms
  • An interest in cyber security
  • Ability to work independently and take initiative
  • A desire to learn and constantly expand your horizons
  • Good problem solver
    • Desirable skills:
  • Basic penetration testing skills
  • Experience managing Active Directory
  • Proficiency in scripting languages and infrastructure as code
  • Experience using AWS or Azure
  • Familiarity with machine learning tools such as Hadoop
