Research and Innovation Advocacy Officer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Research + Innovation Advocacy Officer to support our ambitious 5-year strategy to triple public investment into lung research and innovation to £150 million annually.

Asthma + Lung UK is the only charity in the UK fighting for everyone with a lung condition, aiming for a world where everyone can breathe with healthy lungs. We fund cutting-edge research, provide advice and support for the 12 million people who will get a lung condition during their lifetime. We also campaign for clean air and for better NHS diagnosis and treatment.

We are in an exciting period for life sciences with research & innovation actively promoted as a driver of UK growth and increasing recognition by all major parties of the role of lung research. You will play an integral role in ensuring we effectively influence a range of stakeholders - including the new government, politicians and the pharmaceutical industry - to take forward our ambition to .

Building on our clear sense of the and , you will apply your high levels of organisation to engage with key targets, developing high-quality briefings and gather intelligence on the life sciences.
