Full Job Description

Reporting to The Assistant Editor, The Research Intern is one of two, who play a crucial role in the magazine. They attend the editorial meetings, compile files on individual new subjects, fact-check all our news articles and generally help with the running of the editorial side of The Week. It is a time-limited internship, but there are some opportunities - many of our researchers continue to work for us in one capacity or another. You'll be:

  • Research individual subjects and compile files
  • Fact checking and proof-reading
  • General administration
  • Respond to queries from readers

    The Week is one of Britain's leading news weeklies, with a circulation of around 100,000. It is a break down that takes the best of the British and international news, comment, and arts coverage, and distils it into just 35 succinct editorial pages, helping readers to stay informed about events and form their own opinions on the latest issues.
  • The researcher is part of a small team that helps put the magazine together. It's a six-month internship, renewable for another six months, and is an excellent opportunity for a first job in journalism., We're Future.
