Full Job Description
This is an exciting opportunity for a midwife to join a small team of research midwives to support the delivery of high quality research within maternity services. If you are looking for a change and value research this is the perfect chance to learn how research is designed, delivered and impacts on practice.
We are offering a part time fixed term 12 months maternity leave cover within a very successful maternity research team.
Main duties of the job
Screening and recruiting eligible participants
Educating participants about the study and obtaining informed consent
Collecting and recording study data accurately, in accordance with GCP
Administering interventions and treatments as per the study protocol
Monitoring participants safety and reporting adverse events
Ensuring that study documentation is maintained and stored securely
To be successful in this role, you need to have strong interpersonal and excellent communication skills, be organised and detail orientated.
It is desirable to have prior experience in clinical research setting, but it is not essential.
If you are new to research you will be supported to develop the skills necessary for high quality research delivery.This will be a rewarding post adding value to the working practices of our team of researchers, and will benefit and allow development of someone who aspires to work in research within the NHS if this is you then we would like to hear from you.
