Research Nurse/Research Development Nurse required for Queen Square Medical Practice, Lancaster.

Queen Square Medical practice offer the highest standard of healthcare to our patients in Lancaster, Caton and surrounding area.

We are a proudly independent, innovative, friendly, research active practice, with a practice population of 15,500 patients . We are a dynamic team of doctors, practitioners and nurses constantly developing our service.

Clinical research is vital to the progression of understanding, prevention and treatment of all illnesses, viruses and diseases.

We are looking for that exceptional Nurse who is driven to ensure excellent care to our patients. We are extremely proud to be an award-winning Research Practice., The Research Nurse involves recruiting participants into a wide range of National Institute of Health Research (NIHR) studies within primary care, receiving informed consent, conducting study procedures and the colloection of baseline and follow up data. You will work collaboratively with the whole practice team to help embed and support research activity., We work closely with local practices and other community partners whilst maintaining our independence. Our size and independence means we can offer a flexible supportive working environment in which staff have opportunities to develop and try new skills.

Experience would be desirable in practice/community nursing. Ideally you will have some knowledge of Asthma, Diabetes, CHD, Family Planning and cytology.

Queen Square Medical Practice is a proudly independent, vibrant, friendly, and innovative practice. We have 8 GP partners and 4 associate GP's; nurse, pharmacist and paramedic practitioners who are supported by an excellent multi skilled nursing team and admin team. The management team work closely together.

In addition to normal GP services we run Sexual Health, Gynaecology, Fertility, Dermatology clinics. All this offers lots of variety and an opportunity for growth and development to apply new skills.
