Research Scientist - Mathematical Modelling of Multi-Phase Fluid Flow

We are seeking a creative self-motivated Research Scientist to develop models for multi-physics systems including multiphase fluid dynamics. The job will require experience in first-principle and numerical modelling approaches and working with experimentalists and domain experts on hypothesis testing and concept development. The candidate will need to work constructively and effectively in a multidisciplinary team and engage with business and engineering teams to ensure their solutions have a significant impact. They will also present their work internally and externally.,

• Work in modelling multiphase fluid flow (gas, liquid, and solid flow physics)
• Work with experimentalist and production domain experts to build and validate models and concepts and match models to experimental or field data
• Engage and collaborate with SLB technical community
• Ability to develop novel solutions to research and engineering problems, and articulate them to the technology team and management
• Publish scientific papers, write patent applications and attend conferences
  
  PhD in Fluid mechanics, Mechanical or Chemical Engineering, or a related field
• Expertise in first-principle modelling approaches to Multiphase Flow Dynamics (Gas, Liquid, and Solid Flow physics)
• Multi-physics CFD modelling of multiphase flows (Ansys, OpenFoam, COMSOL)
• Building and validating reduced-order models from high-fidelity simulations is highly desirable
• Experience in modelling of mechanical systems, fatigue analysis
• Understanding of Production Systems is desirable
• Relevant publications in reputable peer-reviewed journals are desirable
