Full Job Description
The School of Health Sciences is looking to appoint a post-doctoral Research and Teaching Associate in Psychology. The post is tenable immediately for a fixed term period spanning until 31 August 2027. This post offers an excellent opportunity for an early career psychology academic interested in developing their research track record and gaining teaching experience as a stepping stone to future Lectureship or Fellowship applications. Successful candidates will split their time equally between conducting research and supporting the delivery of the BSc in Psychology and the MSc in Clinical and Health Psychology programmes. The research component (50% of the role) will be conducted in collaboration with two established academics within the Division of Psychology and Mental Health, Dr Kathy Leadbitter and Prof Jonathan Green, leading on components of projects which focus on autism and neurodiversity. The teaching component will include supporting (and, where appropriate, leading) the delivery of lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical classes and / or research labs, supervising undergraduate research projects, marking assessments, academic advising, providing constructive feedback to students and administration as appropriate.
