Full Job Description

We are looking for a motivated and enthusiastic research team administrative officer to join the International Centre for Recurrent Head and Neck Cancer (IReC) at The Royal Marsden., · Work effectively and efficiently through developing, implementing and maintaining administrative systems and providing high level administrative support.

· Builds and maintains strong working relationships with all stakeholders, internal and external. Providing updates where necessary on the development of work and ensuring deadlines are adhered to. Able to communicate complex concepts to all stakeholders.

· Work in a courteous and professional manner, respond positively and promptly to enquires and incoming calls, exercising tact and discretion and using initiative on issues which can be dealt with personally; where appropriate redirecting to other senior staff, proactively seeking information and passing on as necessary.

· To ensure that incoming messages are dealt with or appropriately redirected and to forward items requiring input from others that cannot be otherwise dealt with, clearly indicating any deadlines or instructions as necessary to facilitate prompt resolution and prioritisation.

The International Centre for Recurrent Head and Neck Cancer (IReC) is the world's first centre for recurrent head and neck cancers. We have the ambitious aim to create a centre of international excellence and set international standards in the curative treatment, palliation and supportive care of recurrent head and neck cancers.

The Research Team Administration Officer will support the Director of the International Centre for Recurrent Head and Neck Cancer, which was funded by The Royal Marsden Cancer Charity.
