Researcher - Lorraine, ITV Studios Daytime

The Lorraine team are currently looking for a dazzling Researcher to join Lorraine Kelly as she celebrates her 40th anniversary on screen. On air from 9am to 10am, Monday to Friday, the programme offers live, topical and glamorous content covering the biggest stories of the day along with fashion, features and celebrity guests. As a Researcher, you'll work in a day-team alongside a Producer and Senior Producer typically producing one programme per week. You'll be bursting with topical ideas and have a good knowledge of current affairs. You'll be responsible for researching programme items, writing briefs and scripts, and editing material for the show. You'll also brief guests and on-screen talent.

The successful applicant will ideally have experience working on a daily live show and have a strong journalistic background. From time to time it may be required for you to work long hours and some Bank Holidays which will be given back to you as Days Off in Lieu (DOIL). Experience of adhering to OFCOM regulations with good legal and compliance knowledge is desirable. Although there will be some aspects of the role that can be done from home, this role is primarily studio/office based. • Experience in live television
• Previous credits as a Researcher and/or journalism qualification
• Strong interest and knowledge of current affairs and popular culture
• Ability to remain calm under pressure
• A keen eye for detail with excellent spelling and grammar
• Excellent organisational skills
