Full Job Description

The Reserves Officer is a key role within our passionate and enthusiastic team at Spurn. Spurn Point National Nature Reserve is a
nationally and internationally important place, and this is an opportunity for the right candidate to lead on the approach to
managing this iconic site.

Using specialist knowledge of habitat management and nature regulatory frameworks, you will work closely with colleagues to ensure
that the wide range of restoration works outlined within the Spurn Management Plan are effectively coordinated and delivered
across our unique site.

Key activities include ensuring that the day-to-day land management tasks are effectively delivered across the reserve in full
compliance with our Countryside Stewardship scheme, as well as proactively managing the relevant consents that are needed to
enable our programme of work at Spurn to be delivered in line with statutory requirements., Please submit an up-to-date CV and supporting statement. When writing your supporting statement, please refer to the person

You will have experience of land management, and along with knowledge of coastal and intertidal habitats, a good understanding of
the regulatory frameworks that apply to Spurn due to its status as a Site of Special Scientific Interest (SSSI), Special Area of
Conservation (SAC), Special Protection Area (SPA) and Ramsar site.

You'll need to be an excellent team player, maintaining and enhancing Spurn's good working relationship with external partners as
well as helping to develop and further strengthen our friendly and highly skilled volunteer team who play a vital role in
undertaking physical work on the reserve.
