Reserves Officer (Northants)

The Wildlife Trust BCN are recruiting for a reserves officer to assist with the day-to-day running of nature reserves in Northamptonshire, through practical work, volunteer tasks, management planning and monitoring. The Reserves Officer will report to the Senior Reserves Officer (Northants) and will work with Northants reserves staff, key volunteers and wardens in order to deliver practical reserve management across Northamptonshire nature reserves in accordance with management plans and H&S guidelines. The role will involve managing meadows, woodlands and wetlands across 13 nature reserves, and requires good knowledge of the practice of nature conservation and principle of ecology, as well as an aptitude to undertake practical training. The role also involves liaising with visitors, graziers and the local community. The role is based from our office at Lings Wood in Nothampton but involves travel to reserves across the County.
