Full Job Description

Residential Services offer accommodation to around 6,500 students each year. To enhance the service offered to our diverse customers, we are recruiting a Residences Customer Services Assistant. This role will support our Customer Services team in providing an excellent customer service to our students and other stakeholders in University accommodation.

This post holder will support in a range of activities to support the Residential Services Supervisor in delivering excellent customer service to perspective and current students. The main responsibilities of this role include:

Supporting the review of accommodation applications
Providing advice and seeking information from current and perspective residents
Supporting in the configuration of our accommodation booking system
The successful candidate will be able to evidence experience of working within a busy and diverse customer service environment. We are looking for an approachable and organised character with excellent communication skills. You will need to be confident working within a team, customer service skills across any industry could well be an advantage. The department uses multiple computer systems to deliver its services therefore experience using multiple systems is essential.

This position is being advertised for 36-hours per week. The post holder is expected to work in office to provide services to a range of customers. The role is 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday however weekend work is required at specific peak times during the summer, including most weekends in September. A reasonable notice will be given in advance of weekend working.
