Full Job Description

As a Resident Medical Officer (RMO) you will undertake a varied range of clinical responsibilities at the Royal Free Hospital and Hadley Wood Hospital averaging at 40 hours per week., The PPU is based on the 12th Floor of the Royal Free Hospital where there are 4 private wards, a private dialysis unit, a private chemotherapy suite and dedicated RMO on call 24 hour accommodation with en suite facilities. Hadley Wood Hospital, High Barnet has 2 theatres, endoscopy suite and outpatient facilities. All RMOs will be part of a rota to provide 24-hour resident medical support to patients of admitting consultants and nursing Staff within our diverse and expanding unit. This is a unique clinical role working extremely closely with consultants from a range of specialities in particular nephrology, transplant, general, plastics, orthopaedic and vascular surgery, medical specialties and health care of the elderly. The post holder is required to provide first-line medical care to patients at the Private Patients Unit at The Royal Free supported directly by the admitting consultant and the acute medical facilities of a major NHS teaching hospital.
