Are you passionate about working with young people? Are you a natural leader, with a flair for creating fun and engaging events? Do you thrive in a team environment? If this sounds like you, we'd love you to join our talented team of Activity Leaders, working on our UK based residential young learner courses this Spring. We are seeking enthusiastic individuals to plan, prepare and deliver a diverse range of activities to learners aged 11-17. As an Activity Leader, you will:
- Plan and deliver engaging activities in performing arts, sports, arts and crafts and large group games and events.
- Encourage active participation, engagement and inclusivity in your sessions.
- Ensure student attendance and positive behaviour.
- Lead and supervise study tours, creating a safe and enjoyable offsite learning experience.
- Assist with pastoral duties, such as house meetings and supervising mealtimes.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative working environment. About You We are looking for candidates who are: Responsible - You consistently prioritise the safety and well-being of our young learners and keep safeguarding at the heart of everything you do. Creative - You bring innovative and fun ideas to make activities enjoyable and educational. Culturally sensitive - You demonstrate an understanding of cultural differences and ensure an inclusive and respectful environment. Enthusiastic - You are passionate about working with young people and bring enthusiasm and energy to teamwork. We are especially interested in hearing from candidates with expertise, coaching experience or a specialist interest in any of the following areas:
- Sports - Football, tennis, cricket, archery, volleyball, badminton, basketball and hockey
- Art and design
- Cookery
- Photography and film making
- Performing arts - dance, drama and music The ideal candidate will be available during March and April, with additional availability throughout 2025., Bell is committed to promoting and safeguarding the welfare of children and young people and expects all staff to share this commitment:
- A DBS/Police Check will be requested in the event of a successful application (this will be paid for by Bell).
- We do not accept DBS Checks undertaken by other organisations (unless you are on the update service).
- All gaps in CVs must be explained satisfactorily.
- Proof of identity and qualifications will be required.
- All references will be followed up and reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason you should not be engaged in situations where you have responsibility for, or substantial access to, persons under 18.
- Appropriate suitability checks will be required prior to confirmation of appointment.
