Full Job Description

As a Residential Assessor & Trainer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring our staff are equipped with the knowledge and skills they need to provide outstanding care for the young people in our residential homes. You will be responsible for assessing and supporting staff through their Level 3 Diploma, ensuring they achieve their qualifications within their first year., You will also deliver a range of mandatory and developmental training sessions to teams working across our Children's Homes, Young Adult Provision, and Foundation teams, contributing to their ongoing professional development. Your training will help staff understand and implement best practices, ensuring that we continue to provide a nurturing and safe environment for the young people we care for.,

  • Assess a caseload of up to 14 staff to complete their Level 3 Diploma and provide support for Level 5 Diploma candidates.
  • Design and deliver engaging, face-to-face training sessions on topics such as Team Teach, Safeguarding, Infection Prevention & Control, and "Welcome to Prior's Court."
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external trainers to ensure training content is relevant and up-to-date.
  • Maintain accurate records of staff attendance and compliance within the internal reporting system.
  • Support the recruitment process by participating in interviews for new staff.
  • Attend team and standardisation meetings to ensure consistent and high-quality training delivery.
  • Play an active role in supporting medication assessments and maintaining your own professional knowledge in this area.
  • Represent and advocate for the Learning & Development team, upholding the values and vision of Prior's Court.

    Minimum of 2 years experience working in a care or health and social care setting.
  • Level 3 Diploma in a care-related subject.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills, with attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
