Full Job Description

As a Residential Childcare Worker, you'll play a crucial role in the daily lives of the children we care for, providing support, warmth, and structure. Your responsibilities will include:

Providing Care and Support: Help create a safe and nurturing home for our children, supporting their daily needs and personal development.

Using Therapeutic Approaches: Engage in training and utilise therapeutic methods to enhance the well-being of the children.

Team Collaboration: Work alongside a team of dedicated professionals aiming to make a substantial difference in young lives.

Learning and Growing: Participate in comprehensive training programs and pursue qualifications in residential childcare.

In a time of exciting growth and development, Salford City Council's Children's Residential Service is expanding! We're opening new homes within our local community to provide nurturing environments for Salford's children. We are eagerly searching for compassionate and dedicated Residential Childcare Workers to join our brand new home. Whether you have experience or are looking to start a rewarding career in children's residential care, we offer a supportive pathway to help you excel., We are looking for someone who has a genuine desire to support and make a difference in the lives of young people. Previous experience in children's homes is desirable, but not essentialwe provide full training! A Level 3 or 4 Diploma in Residential Childcare is a plus but not a requirement. We will support the right candidate to achieve this qualification, including time off for study. We are looking for that special person who is looking for a long-term role where you can grow your skills and really impact your community.

Please be aware that this post is subject to a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check and that you will be required to meet the cost of the DBS check currently £38.00. The payment for this will be deducted from your first four months' salary payments at a rate of £9.50 per month. If you do not commence employment for any reason but the DBS has been processed, you will be sent an invoice for the payment of £38.00.
