Full Job Description

  • To facilitate the inclusion of special needs young person in activities at home and community, To assist in providing a stimulating interaction for individual son attending youth centers, which takes account of the child/young person's individual needs and interests.


    • to support learning program eg exercises and activities to enable communication

  • To undertake to support basic care functions for the young person where necessary (e.g. toileting,


    • feeding, medication)

  • To take son to place of sport or leisure and work in ways that will enable the participation in activities


  • To demonstrate a commitment to safeguarding

  • Two satisfactory references, one from your most recent employer


  • An appropriate enhanced DBS from the Disclosure and Barring Service

    Autism training, teaching, Working disability, Excellent spoken and written English Good level of written and, Requirements Essential/Desirable


  • Qualifications: NVQ play/youth work qualification /teacher/teacher assistant equivalent or working towards.


  • Experience: Work with disabled children and young people or those with SEN. Working with children/young people in a play/youth setting.


  • Skills:


  • To work on own initiative. To be able to devise and adapt activities.


  • Confident communicator.


  • A flexible and creative approach to inclusion and equal opportunities


  • Understanding of the issues related to disability and inclusion.
