Full Job Description
Reporting to the Recovery Project Manager and Deputy Manager the post holders will provide specialist substance misuse support to Recovery Project clients on a key working basis in order to enable them to achieve independent living, recovery and resettlement.
Working as part of a multi disciplinary team including Social Worker, Group Work Co-ordinator and Nurse Practitioner the Residential Substance Misuse Workers will support clients on their recovery journeys from high risk substance misuse. Taking a holistic and person centred approach Residential Substance Misuse Workers will support clients to identify self directed recovery goals, improve health and well being, and to build and develop resources within the wider community.
The role also includes intensive housing management including supporting clients to adhere to their Licence Agreements and ensuring the safety and security of the service.

Established 30 years ago, Turning Tides is a multifunctional, complex needs homelessness charity. Our mission is to end local homelessness.
We have gone from supporting a handful of people in the coastal town of Worthing to providing a range of services to over 1,700 people in Worthing, Adur, Littlehampton, Horsham and Mid Sussex. We have over 10,000 supporters, 300 volunteers and 160 staff members to date.
Turning Tides Recovery Project in Worthing is a unique 28 bed CQC registered residential service for adults experiencing homelessness with drug and/or alcohol addictions.
